EL DORADO poema del film

Imagen

Rudyard Kipling – The Explorer 1898 “THERE’S no sense in going further—it’s the edge of cultivation,”  So they said, and I believed it—broke my land and sowed my crop— Built my barns and strung my fences in the little border station  Tucked away below the foothills where the trails run out and stop. Till a voice, as bad as Conscience, rang interminable changes           On one everlasting Whisper day and night repeated—so: “Something hidden. Go and find it. Go and look behind the Ranges—  “Something lost behind the Ranges. Lost and waiting for you. Go!” So I went, worn out of patience; never told my nearest neighbours—  Stole away with pack and ponies—left ’em drinking in the town;          And the faith that moveth mountains didn’t seem to help my labours  As I faced the sheer main-ranges, whipping up and leading down. March by march I puzzled through ’em, turning flanks and dodging shoulders,  ...

PLAY MISTY FOR ME poema del film

«ANNABEL LEE» by EDGAR ALLAN POE It was many and many a year ago, In a kingdom by the sea, That a maiden there lived whom you may know By the name of Annabel Lee; And this maiden she lived with no other thought Than to love and be loved by me. I was a child and she was a child, In this kingdom by the sea, But we loved with a love that was more than love— I and my Annabel Lee— With a love that the wingèd seraphs of Heaven Coveted her and me. And this was the reason that, long ago, In this kingdom by the sea, A wind blew out of a cloud, chilling My beautiful Annabel Lee; So that her highborn kinsmen came And bore her away from me, To shut her up in a sepulchre In this kingdom by the sea. The angels, not half so happy in Heaven, Went envying her and me— Yes!—that was the reason (as all men kn...

PAPILLÓN (adaptación)

Imagen

Imagen
«Love among the Ruins» BY ROBERT BROWNING Where the quiet-coloured end of evening smiles, Miles and miles On the solitary pastures where our sheep Half-asleep Tinkle homeward thro' the twilight, stray or stop As they crop— Was the site once of a city great and gay, (So they say) Of our country's very capital, its prince Ages since Held his court in, gathered councils, wielding far Peace or war. Now the country does not even boast a tree, As you see, To distinguish slopes of verdure, certain rills From the hills Intersect and give a name to, (else they run Into one) Where the domed and daring palace shot its spires Up like fires O'er the hundred-gated circuit of a wall Bounding all Made of marble, men might march on nor be prest Twelve abreast. And such plenty and perfection, see, of grass Never was! Such a carpet as, this summer-time, o'er-spreads And embeds Every vestige of the city, guessed alone, Stock or stone— Where a multitude of men breathed joy and woe Long ag...

ALERTA ROJA: NEPTUNO HUNDIDO ( David Greene, 1 978)
